Hello, Please review. How to Disable A Firewall.
1. If you Attempt to download or install a TDS upgrade or the latest tax files
and nothing happens your firewall may be blocking the web download.
2. If you are using Norton or Mcafee firewalls Most programs of this type will
have a small icon to the right of your start button.
3. If so, you can place your mouse over these icons and right click to display
a menu, most have an option to disable for a short period of time. Please
disable the firewall.
4. If no icons, try clicking Start, Programs and search on the program list
for the antivirus and or firewall software. Products include Symantec or
Norton, etc.
5. If you do not have a third party product and are only using Windows
firewalls please proceed to # 6 below.
6. Click Windows Start button, Click Control Panel.
7. Locate and double click Security Center.
8. Double click Windows Firewall.
9. The Windows Firewall menu will display.
10. Select the General Tab and Click OFF or....
11. Click Exceptions Tab.
12. Scroll and locate the TDS program, ie: TDS FuelTAX 32, FuelTax VFP, etc.
13. Select the program and click OK. If you do not see a TDS program Click ADD
Program button.
14. Scroll and locate all TDS software programs that you operate, ie: TDS
FuelTAX, TDS Maintenance, TDS Loads Xpress,etc.
15. Click the Program and then click OK.
16. Click OK again to exit.
17. Test the TDS software program.
